Steve Lidbury, Principal at Eight Inc., takes the audience on a deep dive into the future of retail. Steve leads a team of strategic designers and business creatives to deliver holistic, human-centric experiences for world-renowned brands such as Apple, Nike, Coach, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Barclays, Citi, and FC Barcelona.

Sometimes called “Apple’s best kept secret” Eight Inc. came up with the original concept for Apple Store worldwide working closely with the late Steve Jobs, and designed the standards that were to be used in creating them. Today there are more than 500 Apple Stores globally that provide breakthrough branded customer experience and have the highest sales per square foot in the world.

He transformed the IT function through new leadership, improved processes; enhanced data security & improved service levels.

Before Taco Bell, Greg was the IT Director for Supply Chain, Business Intelligence, Mobile & Enterprise Architecture at lululemon athletica. Greg built/grew high performing IT teams to support the company’s doubling to $1.4Bn in sales in 2 years. He led a team that defined/planned/delivered the supply chain IT strategy; created strategy/roadmap and organization to deliver mobile applications for stores, employees & guests; established/developed/led the enterprise architecture function; and enabled entry into China and Europe with an international growth IT strategy.

Earlier, as IT Sr Director at the GAP, Greg led enterprise data warehouse & business intelligence; supported Banana Republic’s brand introduction to Europe as lead architect and ultimately program leader; provided 1st-ever end-to-end merchandising/ retailing/financial system; and enabled company’s strong introduction into China.

In this session, Amir will discuss the key milestones for fast, successful and cost-effective international expansion to maximise both growth and ROI. Bio

Amir has an extensive technology background, having served for 11 years in various elite technological units of the Israeli Defense Forces, including as the commander of the “Talpiot“ elite technological military-academy program (ranked Major).

Before co-founding Global-e, Amir served as SVP and strategic advisor to the CEO of Bank Hapoalim, Israel’s largest bank, a position he gained after several years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Amir holds an MBA from INSEAD (first in his class), M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Tel-Aviv University and a B.Sc. in Math, Physics and Computer Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
